E4 Bell crank Steering
The original E4 uses nylon and composite rack and dual pivot set, this is a traditional and trusted system which also produces turning ackerman, it does however use a lot of space on the top plate. The K2121 also relocates the steering system and removes the lower retainers that laminate the pivot arms to the top plate, this creates more space for the battery compartment.
7075 Aluminium – hard coated
Whilst nylon components of good quality are reliable and durable, CNC machined 7075 lightweight aluminium with hard coating, speaks for itself! What matters is the accurate transfer of servo motion to the wheels. A light, rigid material will perform better than a malleable one where energy is being transferred. The bell system is ball raced for nominal friction, hard coated to give it durability and designed to perform the task of transferring your steering servo response to the wheels.
Adjustable ball positions
The ball retainers can be inverted and by adjusting the ball position on the arc of the bell the steering can be customised to suit the conditions. The steering motion is more precise and the system uses less components, it’s simpler, stylish and user friendly.
